The preparation and understanding of amphiphilic blockcopolymers which can self assemble into interesting nanostructures isa promising area of research. A variety of self-assemblednanostructures can be achieved by precise control of the hydrophobicand hydrophilic block lengths'. Especially intriguing is the introductionof a thermosensitive block which can change its hydrophilicity basedon change in the temperature. This provides an important tool formanipulate the structure and size of nanostructures. Such stimuliresponsive polymeric micelles have potential applications asnanoscale or drug delivery devices2.
