A MODEL OF BATCH SUGAR CENTRIFUGAL PRODUCTIVITY

The paper quantifies the effect of sugar specification on the required machine settings and relative capacity of batch high grade centrifugals. From extensive experimentation on factory fugals, and analysis of fugal products, several important relationships describing fugal behaviour have been derived. A model of the high grade batch centrifugal operation has been developed. When used in conjunction with pan stage models, this model enables analysis of the required demands in factory equipment and services resulting from changes in sugar specification.
