INTEGRATION OF A SIMULATION MANAGER WITH OPTIMIZATION IN MANUFACTURING SIMULATION

摘要

Today's manufacturing simulation tools are not self optimizing. A simulation run is normally performed only for one working goal using one particular model and one parameter combination. For obtaining more system knowledge and for optimizing the system, the user has to decide the parameters to be varied for each run. In this paper an approach for a simulation manager will be shown, which permits the running and optimization of simulation experiments automatically. A prototype of this simulation manager has been used to optimize a flexible assembly system.
