Fluorescence bioimaging in the second near-infrared spectral region (NIR-II, 900-1700 nm) can provide advantagesof high spatial resolution and large penetration depth, due to low light scattering. In addition, since long-wavelengthlight with low photon energy is utilized as the excitation and less absorbed by the biological tissues, NIR-IIfluorescence bioimaging also has low autofluorescence, as well as negligible photodamage towards biosamples.During the past few years, NIR-II fluorescence bioimaging has experienced rapid development. In this paper, we willintroduce some recent research works about NIR-II fluorescence bioimaging in our research group, such as video-ratewhole-body/brain/tumour angiography, organ imaging, as well as diagnosis and imaging guided treatment of tumour,on mice and monkeys.
