In the present work, numerical simulations of VIV of flexible risers indifferent tandem arrangements are carried out by the in-house CFDsolver viv-FOAM-SJTU. Firstly, the accuracy of the solver is verified.Then, vibration responses of two risers are presented. Numerical resultsshow that the interference effect between two risers makes amplituderesponses of the two risers different from the isolated riser, and theupstream riser is more likely to exhibit multi-modal vibrationcharacteristic. Through the vorticity map at the middle section of tworisers, the wake vortex reattachment phenomenon at the downstreamriser is observed.
