The paper focuses on the stage of heating the welded ends of a polyethylene pipe and a coupling with special replaceable nozzles for subsequent welding at low temperatures. The thermal process is simulated in a polyethylene pipe in contact with a replaceable nozzle, the base of which is kept at a constant temperature by means of a heating plate with a set temperature. The results of calculations demonstrate a temperature distribution close to homogeneous in a pipe wall, which was obtained by heating with a replaceable packing followed by free cooling to equalize the temperatures.
