With the objective of contacting our students with active learning experiences, a learning activitybased on the use of videos in small cooperative groups was developed. The aim was to promotecomprehension of specific Pilates exercises integrated in the course of Pilates applied toPhysiotherapy, a course located in the second semester of third year of Physiotherapy Degree atUniversity of Vigo. In this communication we are going to present the students' assessment on thatlearning experience.The activity was carried out during a theory session of the course. Once the activity was over, whichincluded videos expositions and the answering of specific questions, an ad hoc questionnaire wasfilled by the students to collect their opinion on the activity. 30 of the 39 course enrolled students hadparticipated in the experience.The main results pointed to a positive assessment especially on the aspects of: good workenvironment during the activity, the interesting and appropriate employed methodology, thecomprehension of the subject included in the activity, the efforts done on thinking and reasoning theanswers to the proposed questions, the working group promotion, the possibility of listening to theirpeers opinion and consequently discuss the adequate answers with them.In the form of conclusions, it is important to stress that this experience was positively assessed by thestudents due to a good work environment and the working group promotion. As the main constraint ofthe activity we could mention the need of a large intervention, maybe the use of a lager session todevelop the activity or the use of this methodology in different sessions during the course length.
