The provision of technology platforms and mobile devices in the framework of holistic and interactive educational models represents a valuable resource in humanistic training, since it implies greater motivation, stimulating learning, strengthening concentration, collaborative work and stimulating meaningful learning. Consequently, the research presents the results of the project entitled "Strengthening of Educational Quality in Mathematics and Citizen Competencies through the use of Tablets", aimed at teachers and students of 9th, 10th and 11th from 31 Official Schools of the District Barranquilla -Colombia. Its purpose was to develop mathematical and citizen skills for the improvement of educational quality. The AULATOUCH web and mobile access platform was created, which, contextualized in the holistic model, considers the different ways in which students learn and communicate, as well as how teachers participate in technological mediation. In the theory, the contributions on educational innovation are articulated by Camina, Ballester, Coll & Garcia [1], learning for the digital age, Siemens & Downes connectivism [2] and Bertalanffy systems theory [3]. The research design is mixed, descriptive - explanatory. It works with a quasi-experiment (pretest and posttest), survey and observation. The results show that the pedagogical strategies mediated by tablets in the subjects of mathematics and civic competences, motivate students to learn, improve their academic performance and strengthen the development of skills. It’s concluded that the inclusion in the didactic cycle of a technological tool such as Aulatouch represents a dynamic agent for didactic mediation and the strengthening of students' learning, because it positively impacted the academic performance in the mentioned disciplines in more than 70% of the students, who participated in the project.
