(1434) BUILDING RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION SKILLS: A DIGITAL REPOSITORY FOR STEM TEACHERS

Online learning environments present attractive advantages to promote widespread adoption ofeducational innovation, especially for in-service teacher training. Flexibility and adaptability to complexschedules is an asset. However, purely online learning activities can face some challenges whichhave already been reported on the literature. We delivered a CPD programme for Spanish-speakingSTEM teachers composed of Open Education Resources, online courses and a virtual Community ofPractice, inspired on relevant literature. The goal of the environment is to promote the adoption ofResponsible Research and Innovation principles in teaching practice. Data has been collected on howteachers use the repository, engage in online learning activities and participate in a community ofpractice. Results suggest that the OER are delivered in a way that is easy for teachers to find and thatare sufficiently developed to be put in practice with few modifications. The online course is successfulin terms of completion rate, and it has encouraged reflection and exchange to a certain extent. Finally,the study revealed the inception of an online Community of Practice in which teachers can share theirviews and questions about the RRI pedagogies promoted.
