We suggest in this paper to describe the computer application we have designed to help learnersanalyze the English simple sentences and practice on them by trying to get their corresponding forms(i.e. affirmative or interrogative, active or passive, positive or negative, present or past, ordinary orperfective, progressive or non-progressive). This application, which can be used in a self-learningprocess by the learner with or without the help of the teacher, provides to the learner an automatedanalysis of the sentence he has freely chosen to enter and practice on it. Thus, three functions usingan algorithm based on a formal description of the English simple sentences are proposed (namely:‘Analyse', 'Get its corresponding forms' and 'Practice'). We have, nonetheless to underline the factthat this version of the application can only be used as an additional help because it focuses only onthe form and we know that language mastery lies beyond this single aspect.
