DVD's are popular teaching tools these days; Harry Potter (HP) films are especially useful for TOEICpractice. Various dialogs and scenes lend themselves to standardized test practice. Most students arefamiliar with and enjoy Harry Potter series. This is important as improving TOEIC scores requiresample study time. This paper will outline specific activities and techniques for various levels to practicelistening, reading, pronunciation and even some speaking. Some do not require the use of the DVD.They have been used successfully in university classes ranging from very low to intermediate level.Activities for all levels will be included.
