This study sets out to identify and also confirm team shard mental model(SMM)'s subfactor structureusing Korean data. Through exploratory factor analysis, initial five factors, such as general task andteam knowledge, general task and communication skills, attitude toward teammates and task, teamdynamics and interactions, and team resources and working environment were identified. Using theselected 22 items, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted and the five factors were againconfirmed. Because of these five factors were corrleated with one onother, the factor correlationmodel(a research model, model 2) was constructred, It was compared with an alternative one withoutany correlations among the facotrs(an independent model, model 1), and the research model turnedout to be a better fit. In order to get criterion-referenced validity, correlation analyses were conductedbetween SMM and team satisfaction. There were significant correlations between SMM and teamsatisfaction.
