(1265) MY SMART QUARTIER: PRACTICES OF CITIZEN E-PARTICIPATION AND A TOOL TO DETECT NEEDS IN DIGITAL ILLITERACY

Numerous studies and reports carried out in recent years have stated that the ICT revolution is overlooking some low-income urban communities, causing a gap with those citizens with access to them and the Internet. This paper describes the actions carried out, within the Erasmus + My Smart Quartier project, to determine the scope of the existing digital divide in five different areas of the city of Valencia (Spain), as well as the training needs identified to reduce the gap and improve the social integration of citizens. The results of the survey prepared for this purpose are shown and analyzed. The main topics to be addressed in future training courses for trainers will be: citizen participation, social inclusion, health and well-being, citizen management and employment.
