Functional poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA) microsheets are successfully synthesized in the presence of (NH_4)_3[CoMo_6O_(24)H_6]-7H_2O (CoMo_6) under acidic conditions. It is proposed that the light-green CoMo_6 precipitates formed in the initial reaction systerm serve as a polymerization reaction template for the formation of POMA microsheets. Moreover, POMA microsheets show pH-dependent fluorescence and exhibit enhanced fluorescence properties in comparision with POMA synthesized by conventional method in the absence of CoMo_6.
