Experimental Research on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction of LPG Vehicles

In order to reduce the emission of the exhaust gases emitted by the vehicles, buses and taxies use of LPG is being promoted in Chinese big and medium-sized cities, how to reduce the emission by the LPG vehicles is a brand-new subject yet to be addressed. This thesis makes a comparative experimental research on the vehicles through adding a proper amount of CPG-4 synergist to the fuel of the LPG vehicles so as to ameliorate their combustion performance and reach the purpose of energy conservation and emission reduction. The experiments demonstrate that use of LPG can be saved by approximately 6% and the emission of HC and PM are also greatly reduced by adding a proper amount of CPG-4 synergist to the fuels of the LPG vehicles.
