Conducting Personalization Design Workshops - Designing Personalization Procedures

Increasing demands for sustainability and advancements of information technology are transforming business. Personalization is widely regarded as a key concept of the new business paradigm. In order to popularize personalization, we have proposed a methodology for designing personalization procedures. This paper reports the results of workshops we conducted to design the personalization procedures based on the proposed methodology. We recruited participants openly and let them design a service of providing personalized coffee. In addition, we conducted similar workshops based on the popular service design methodology and compared the results to clarify the effectiveness of proposed methodology.
