Results from a large field test using 2D ring arrays to address back-scattered surface noise in land seismic acquisition

Back-scattered surface noise is often a large problem with surface seismic data. This noise is badly aliased with conventional 3D orthogonal geometry, which makes it very difficult to remove in processing.
