The U.S. DOT sponsored Dynamic Mobility Applications (DMA) program seeks to identify, develop, and deploy applications that leverage the full potential of connected vehicles, travelers, and infrastructure to enhance current operational practices and transform future surface transportation systems management. Intelligent Network Flow Optimization (INFLO) is one bundle of applications within the U.S. DOT's DMA program whose prototypes are currently under development. This paper provides an overview of the INFLO application bundle, which includes Speed Harmonization (SPD-HARM) and Queue Warning (Q-WARN) applications and details the status and emerging results of its prototype development and testing activities.
