Industry-government joint research of preparation method of road structure data for automated driving

摘要

The authors have started industry-government joint research to establish methodologies to create of the large scale road map (the fundamental geospatial data of road) using existing resources. The existing resources are the archive data such as point cloud data, digital maps, aerial photo, drawing and ortho image. The large scale road map in conformity with those methodologies would be used by road management and automated driving. This paper reports the status industry-government joint research program and progress.
