The effect of organic sludge application on the elemental composition and spectroscopic parameters of soil humic acids

In this work,the structural properties of humic-like fractions isolated from organic sludge of different origin,and the humic acids isolated from soil treated at various rates of these sludge were evaluated.Humic acids isolated from organic sludge were characterized by a higher content of N and H and smaller degree of oxidation in comparison to the humic acids isolated from the soil.Application of organic sludge to the soil influenced changes in the adsorption parameters of soil humic acids.The transformation of humic acids structure was observed due to addition of weakly humified material of low molecular weight and further polimerization.
