摘要

Many patients need to lie on sickbed chronically and their bodies must be turned regularly to prevent bedsore. To make such a patient lie on side requires a lot of time and manpower. The current sickbed design, however, does not provide such function. Therefore, this paper presents a new mechanism design of multi-function sickbed. We applied the methodology for configuration synthesis of mechanisms with variable chains to obtain mechanism graphs of potential designs. The optimization of this kinematic design has been done through ADAMS software. By means of simulating in ADAMS, the feasibility of the new design has been confirmed.
