APPLYING PRINCIPLES OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN A RUSSIAN-GERMAN RESEARCH-AND-EDUCATIONAL PROJECT 'BSTU-FESTO'

The most problematic aspect of a contemporary university functioning is its structuring. The right solution of this issue is of great importance for the high efficiency of the university as a whole. Applying elements of project management in educational sphere could solve or at least mitigate this difficulty. Since June, 2005 Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEKH" (Russia has been applying this approach in implementing an innovative Russian-German research and educational program jointly with FESTO. The main goal was to train specialists in the speciality "Mechatronics", capable to work effectively under the new economic conditions and based on the knowledge, obtained when studying with applying the most advanced didactic equipment.
