Development of Fiber Optic Dome Closure of Gasket Type for FTTx mid-span Branch

This paper describes the technology of development of "fiber optic dome closure of gasket type for mid-span branch of the optical cable", which has a special designed base to be divided into two parts for easy mid-span branch. Contrary to "Trunk or Feedernetwork", at "Subscriber network", there exist many connection points to accommodate a lot of subscribers spread over a wide area and what is more, with a view of cost effective installation, thus the function of mid-span branch of the optical cable is one of very important factors for the optical network. In order to meet this requirement, we designed the special base of closure for easy mid-span branch, which the sealing gasket, instead of the heat shrinkable tube for protecting water penetration into the closure, is applied. IWe're sure that this paper will give another solution for constructing the most cost effective optical-network.
