First Ten Chemicals The Environmental Working Group recommends the following ten chemicals to be assessed first: Lead, formaldehyde, vinyl chloride, bromoform, chromium-6, styrene, arsenic, ethylbenzene, cadmium, and 1,4-dioxane. 1. Industry contends that the first ten substances must be drawn from the existing TSCA Chemical Work Plan and that Work Plan substances for which EPA has had significant work underway. 2. EPA must release list of first ten chemical substances to be evaluated by December 22, 2016.
