摘要

Membrane-based separation of CO2 from flue gas for subsequent sequestration requires high-performance materials. Membranes must be thermally stable and resistant to hydrolysis, while providing high CO2 flux at low feed pressures. Membranes made from thermally rearranged (TR) polymers are under active study as candidates for this application. TR polymers are highly permeable to CO2, thermally stable up to 300 °C, resistant to plasticization, and hydrolytically stable.
