Government Importance in FDI Development in Poland

Foreign direct investments play a crucial role in the process of globalization, at the same time supporting the development of national economies. The flow of capital in the shape of FDI facilitates an access to technologies, know-how and management skills, accelerating the integration of national economies with international markets, production and distribution networks, and strengthening the international competition of companies and whole national economies. Inflow of the FDI depends on world economy condition, investment attractiveness of particular host country and many others. The authors consider the actions of the Polish government to encourage and support foreign investors to expand their businesses into Poland. The state aid categories are presented and analyzed as well as direct support of the Polish government to particular foreign direct investment in Poland.
