Continuous Nylon 6 nanofibers were manufactured by force-spinning method (using centrifugal forces) with different spinning speeds and were collected as multilayer structures using a metallic frame collector. The surface functionalization of the nanofibers was obtained by thermal evaporation deposition of silver thin films. The surface morphology and properties of native and silver coated Nylon 6 nanofibers were examined using the SEM-STEM (scanning electron microscopy-scanning transmission electron microscopy), AFM (atomic force microscopy) and electrical resistance measurements. The investigation indicates the formation of Nylon 6 nanofibers with a good interfacial adhesion of silver evaporated thin films to the nanofibers' surface and good electrical conductivity of the coated nanofibers structures.
