摘要

We have successfully engineered the 1) biodegradable flame retardant polymer composites, 2) 3-D printable flame retardant polymer composites, and 3) cable sheathing polymer composites with low additive loading. High aspect ratio 2-D materials can be used as dispersants to promote the dispersion of flame retardants within the polymer matrices. This physical synergism can significantly enhance the efficiency of the flame retardants, which enables the polymer composites to reach the desired flame retardant grade with lower additive loading.
