Asubregional strike-slip in the near-crestal zone ofAlexandrov-Bakhilov mega-arch was identified in the east of HMAO. The fault location on local structures, presence of transversal faults control petroleum- bearing interval of the section in combination with various factors (depositional environments, etc.). Presence of strike-slip dislocations contributed to formation of petroleum-bearing interval in Verkhne- Kolikyoganskoye field (64 layers) and Bakhilovskoye field (25 layers). Location of E&Awells in the strike-slip zone determines well flow rates. Positive results derived from E&Awells allowed location of development drilling in the near-strike-slip zones. The center of Samotlor field due to the presence of similar strike-slips in the lateral zones appeared to have been under expansion conditions producing the piston effect to result in massive fill of reservoirs with hydrocarbons in the field’s crest. Whereas the lateral zones were under stress and are characterized by less reserves and amount of accumulations.
