Semi-organic lithium hydrogen oxalate monohydrate non-linear optical single crystals have been grown by slow evaporation solution growth technique at 35 °C. Single crystal X-ray diffraction study showed that the grown crystal belongs to the triclinic system with space group Pl. The mechanical strength decreases with increasing load. The piezoelectric coefficient is found to be 1.41 pC/N. The nonlinear optical property was measured using Kurtz Perry powder technique and SHG efficiency was almost equal to that of KDP.
