Eu~(3+) ions doped (1 - 7 mol %) ZrO_2 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by a facile green synthesis method using Alove vera as fuel. The obtained ZrO_2:Eu~(3+) (1-7 mol %) NPs were characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction studies (PXRD), Raman studies and photoluminescence (PL) techniques. The dependency of dopant concentration on the crystal structure and luminescence properties were discussed in detail. The PL emission of ZrO_2:Eu~(3+) NPs shows characteristics transitions of Eu~(3+) ions. The CIE chromaticity and CCT confirms the phosphor material as red emitting hence it was quite useful in display applications.
