Neutron diffraction measurements of the rocking curves were carried out for single crystals of copper subjected to dynamic compression at 10~3/s strain rate. The line broadening is expected to be produced by dislocations, and an analysis of this broadening gives the dislocation density. Dislocation density is found to increase with increase of pressure.
