摘要

This paper shows a simulation methodology for the damage detection in composite materials by using near-field microwave waveguide imaging. The automatic scanning by employing the MATLAB-CST interaction method is proposed. A numerical simulation example of the near-field microwave imaging for the composite laminate is demonstrated. The effect of different movement steps of the waveguide is analysed. Results of the numerical simulation are provided and discussion on the resolution and the applicability of the proposed simulation approach is presented.
