摘要

Skeletal muscle is controlled via neural input to bundles of muscle fibres. The chemical synapse formed between the terminal of the motor neuron and the membrane of the myofibre membrane is called the neuromuscular junction (NMJ). The postsynaptic membrane is lined with acetylcholine receptors (AChR) which binds the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) for signal transduction.
