Using Baldrige Method Frameworks, Excellence in Higher Education Standards, and the Sakai CLE for the Self Assessment Process

Marist College has designed a unique approach to self-assessment in order to have a full and detailed experience. The IT department is using the combination of the Baldrige frameworks, in addition to the Excellence in Higher Education Standards guidelines, and the flexibility of the Sakai Collaborative Learning Environment (CLE) to complete their self-assessment. The process is being conducted using a method that blends real time meetings and asynchronous Sakai collaboration sites which include a wiki, blogger, and discussion forums. We plan to share our outcomes institutionally by using Sakai's Open Source Portfolio (OSP).
