ISSUES CONCERNING THE USE OF MINE CONVEYORS DURING COAL EXPLOITING IN PETROSANI COALFIELD-ROMANIA

Given the fact that by 2018, the subsidy granted by Romania for underground coal mining will be removed, there has come up the need for a critical analysis of both the construction and the use of conveyors in underground mines of Petrosani Coalfield.The network comprising belt and scraper conveyors found in the underground of each mine form a continuous transport system. The transportation system of a mine can be divided into transportation subsystems of mine sectors and the main transportation subsystem. The transportation subsystem of the mine sector comprises transportation inside the stope and the preparatory operations within the boundaries of the panel, block or sublevel, the scheme of these operations being specific to each mining method. The main transportation subsystem of the mine is the one on investment operations and receives the material coming from the transportation subsystems of mine sectors; they convey this material up to the main silo and from there, it is removed by the extraction installations.
