This paper will developed a linear programming model to solve the issue of filling dispensing hoppers at concentrated food industries. This model is a programming system that determines the times needed to perform the filling activities, the materials to be handled and the equipment to be used to ensure a balance between supply and demand of the raw materials. At the same time, it is expected to minimize the inventory holding costs and setup costs. The programming proposal meets its main objective that is to satisfy opportunely the requirements of raw materials eliminating stoppages in the production due to the absence of the same. The proper functioning of the model was validated through a case study and a sensitivity analysis which results were satisfactory in an acceptable computation time.
