Advanced driver assistance system and green intelligent transportation system

摘要

Traffic safety and traffic congestion have become important and socially relevant topics, which have impacted the development of social and economic. Considerable research has been performed to improve our solutions to alleviate the traffic problems. Nowadays, as a result of rapidly grown traffic demand, there is increasing urgency in improving traffic conditions especially for safety performance. To this end, we review the state of the art of driver assistance systems and present the new achievement of technologies and theories in the field of green intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Finally, future directions for research aim at improving traffic safety and transportation performance are discussed.
