摘要

Waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is the fastest growing waste stream. In Brazil, households which contain cell phones and personal computers increased 424% and 172%, respectively, from 2001 to 2008. Sales of notebooks in Brazil between 2007 and 2011 reached more than 27 million units, and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) represents only 3% w/w of WEEE, but is the valuable fraction of WEEE, containing up to 45% w/w of metals.
