摘要

The extended use of pharmaceuticals is a potentialcontamination source of surface water, groundwater, seawater and soils. Pharmaceuticals are among the mostprescribed pharmaceutically active substances throughoutthe world. Their presence and persistence in environmentalmatrices and the toxicity posed by them as well, accordingto the first studies carried out, indicate that environmentalmonitoring programs are crucial to assess the fate of suchsubstances ending up to the environment. The presentstudy focuses on the determination at trace levels ofpsychiatric drugs in environmental matrices (water,sediment) taking at the same time advantage of theinnovative hybrid technology and versatility of the highresolution-accurate mass LTQ Orbitrap MS platform.
