A Study of Esophageal Acidity and Motility Change after a Gastrectomy for Stomach Cancer

This study was designed to establish the esophageal acidity and motility change after a gastrectomy for stomach cancer because some postgastrectomy patients often experience gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and a compromised quality of life.Preliminary data shows that there is no significantly difference between the group. But, We suspect that the postoperative esophageal symptom is due to not only bile reflux but also gastroesophageal acid reflux. Therefore, careful observation is recommended for the detection of GERD
