In the present paper, we have carried out viscous potential flow analysis of Kelvin-Helmholtz instability of cylindrical interface in the presence of magnetic field acting in the axial direction. In the viscous potential flow theory viscosity enters through normal stress balance and shearing stresses are not considered. We have taken both fluids as viscous and magnetic. A dispersion relation has been obtained and effect of viscosity on the stability of the system has been studied. It has been observed that Reynolds number has destabilizing effect on the stability of the system whereas magnetic field has stabilizing effect.
