Study on effect of microwave radiation on protein expression of testis in rats

摘要

Most people are exposed to microwave radiation. A number of studies have indicated microwave radiation can have adverse effects on male reproduction, but its injury molecular mechanism was obscur. Some studies have shown that microwave radiation alters gene or protein expression in many kinds of cell lines such as human glioblastoma cells, breast cancer MCF-7 cells, endothelial cells and C3H 10T(1/2) mouse cells et al, this does not mean that similar response will take place in human or animal exposed to this radiation. Here changes cif protein expression of the testis in Wistar rats were assessed by proteomics approach, which not only provide molecular level basis for reproduction injury induced by microwave radiatin, but also supply new clue with its research on injury molecular mechanism.
