PASCO COUNTY MASTER REUSE SYSTEM A SYSTEM ON THE CUTTING EDGE

Pasco County is located on the west coast of Florida just north of Tampa. Pasco County's Board of County Commissioners is dedicated to the conservation of potable drinking water supplies and to its pristine natural environment. Therefore; in 1986, the Board committed to a total water reuse strategy. Pasco County Ordinance Article III, Section 110-74(b) states, "Each new development within the areas so identified in the reclaimed water master plan shall include a reclaimed water distribution system as a condition of wastewater service, provided construction of the reclaimed water distribution system is deemed to be in the best interest of the County as determined by the County Administrator."
