In the present report using in vitro assays involving the Alzheimer's disease model, we demonstrate the protective effect of Cafeoilquinic acids (CQA). CQAs inhibited the toxicity of amyloid-b on human neurotypic (SH-SY5Y) cells. Proteomics analysis on 3, 5- di- CQA treated SH-SY-5Y cells showed that the significant expression of Phosphoglycerate kinasel (PGK1), which is related to brain glucose utilization. Furthermore, SAM P8 mice that got Peroral administration of CQA recovered their memories in the experiment. These results suggest that CQAs may be relevant in the protection against neurodegeneration, particularly Alzheimer's disease.
