摘要

The operation of public service buses with both small local and global emissions and high energy efficiency is a very successful means for increasing ecological sustainability within the road transport sector. For a comprehensive economic-ecological evaluation all parts of the life cycle of public service buses have to be analysed, such as fuel path (WTT; well-to-tank) and the production/recycling of the vehicle. In the VDV study, for the assessment of both fuel consumption and emissions a real public transport driving cycle for easy urban operation has been applied. On this route (suburban cycle), a yearly service of 60.000 kilometres per vehicle and a service life of twelve years were taken as a basis. In order to get most comprehensive results, the VDV study has analysed different scenarios of bus fleets with different propulsion technologies and different fossil and regenerative fuels within an integrated approach of the entire life of the bus transportation system. With this method the most promising variants of future fuel and drive concepts were elaborated. The results show clear tendencies and can support the transport companies in their strategic planning of tendering new vehicles.
