A sensitive and selective LC-MS/MS method was developed and partially validated for quantifying cholestane-3beta,5alpha,6beta-triol in 20 (mu)L of human plasma after derivatization with N,N-dimethylglycine. The lowest limit of quantification was found to be 2 ng/mL.
