摘要

The tagging of Phe~7 of ACTH (4-10) with ~(127)I followed by detection of ~(127)I by ICP-MS led to development of a selective and sensitive metabolite profiling method suitable for investigation of metabolism of therapeutic peptide based on the criteria of minimal effect of ~(127)I-tag on turnover and site of metabolism including resistance to dehalogenation. Also, the ICP-MS method can provides semi-quantitative information on metabolites without the availability of reference standards.
