PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light detection part having large light path length and to reduce stray light while improving yield without requiring processing accuracy in the structure of the light detection part performing measurement by irradiating a solvent in a capillary with light. ;SOLUTION: A light detecting hollow part 2 opened at both ends thereof is formed within an insulator 1 and both opening ends of the hollow part 2 are respectively closed by transparent windows 3a, 3b and holes 4a, 4b communicating with the outside of the insulator 1 are respectively provided to the hollow part 2 at different positions and the respective ends of capillaries 5a, 5b connected to respective solvent tanks are respectively connected to the holes 4a, 4b communicating with the hollow part 2. By this constitution, since the light path length of a light detection part is determined on the basis of the length H between both opening ends of the hollow part 2 opened at both ends thereof within the insulator 1, the light path length can be sufficiently extended as compared with a case determined by the inner diameter of a capillary as is conventional.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
