The All Ions MS/MS workflow using an UHPLC/Q-TOF MS was successfully validated for the screening, quantitation and verification of pesticides in fruit and vegetables. Limits of quantitation were below 5 ng/mL for most compounds even in complex matrices. The verification of compounds using the co-elution of precursor and fragment ions successfully eliminated all potential false positives. The way that All Ions MS/MS functionality is integrated in the MassHunter software using fragment information from the PCDL library products, and the way they are used consistently from quantitation to verification makes it an invaluable feature for high-throughput control laboratories.
